With Foron stood a young conductor on the podium who has already worked with renowned ensembles and has now answered the call to Dresden. Very exact and precise, meticulous about detail, with dynamic finesse, and yet intent on allowing the music to unfold and take effect from within itself. Above all, Foron radiated joy in conducting and certainly also the happiness of being able to stand before the Staatskapelle Dresden. One truly does not experience such openness every day. It speaks for the young conductor that he allowed the expressive gesture of the work, its forceful, obstinate character, and let the whole unfold in the most beautiful contrasts.
