Fully convincing was the conducting of the young conductor Nicolò Umberto Foron. His reading appeared consistently attentive, refined, and measured, capable of rendering the different souls of the two scores, highlighting both Stravinsky’s rhythmic brilliance and Casella’s elegant classicism. His gestures appeared confident, the conducting balanced and never invasive, allowing the Orchestra of the Teatro Petruzzelli of Bari to express itself with unity and precision. The work done with the Chorus of the Teatro Petruzzelli, prepared by Marco Medved, was also excellent. What remains is the solidity of Nicolò Umberto Foron’s musical direction.
